i love real photo postcards and this is one of my favorites for personal reasons. although it is not a great photograph, it does show the basket factory of william b. rickenbrode, my great-great grandfather, around the 1920s or a bit earlier. his factory provided baskets for his fruit farm and others in the ripley, new york area. i have not been able to find out much about this business or his fruit farm for that matter, and pretty much anyone who would have information pertinent to its history has passed on. i truly wish this photograph was just a bit sharper.
